It can be hard to remain optimistic through the cut and thrust of building your studio, very hard - and don’t we all know it.
I am not going to give any misleading tips here - a huge natural advantage I have had in my life - all my life - is an extremely kind and supporting mother who has actively encouraged me to follow my dreams since I was a toddler, and still does in now her mid 70s.
What I thought was normal, then common, then rare, I am realising seems to be quite rare the more and more people I come into contact with throughout life.
Unconditional support only gets you started. Which is the goal of these Notes for you :)
The rest is hard work - and while I remain supportive- Go get it! - the daily hard work is up to you.
Optimism does not make you immune to difficulties life throws however.
1 year ago, my Dad passed away and I wrote a notes on The Hard Times and how I personally deal with the really hard ones, a popular note amongst you all - and no advice changes there.
This is a 1 year on update.
Visualisation
I went to visit his grave, 1 year on, for a quick update on all the awesome things that have happened since, and Mum had texted that morning to say the headstone had arrived and being installed.
I checked it out. Closed my eyes (set a 10m timer) and thought (visualised) about all the good stuff that has happened, remembered the good times, literally putting positive vibes out into the universe.
One of those things you hear about doing, but never end up committing to trying yourself.
Anyway, I opened my eyes exactly 10 minutes on and the scene had changed ever so slightly…
I was speechless - it totally took me by surprise!
I actually started laughing.
What are the odds!
I got back in the car, turned before leaving and the sky had returned to barely overcast.
I drove home… and 5 minutes in had to pull over - I am actually trembling typing this and remembering…
I had only showed this to close family and friends, and it gave goosebumps to everyone.
I sat on posting as I thought, no one will believe it, and is it really relevant to kicking off your practice?
The thing about gratitude and sharing positive vibes, is that it is always worth it, as someone out there - you never know who - might have really need to hear it right now :)
ps I dare not try visualising again… too many rain delays on all of our collective the jobs as is… haha!
Spread the Good Vibes :)
Andrew
Beautiful Andrew, thanks for sharing!
